Bleach 574: Death in Vision

Zach Goodier

This week, the fight between our murderous new Sternritter and Kenpachi swings into action, with Kenpachi already testing the limits of his enemy's power.  While this chapter isn't very long, or decisive, it does show that this kid's power is going to be a tough one to cope with, even for Kenpachi.  However, he still hasn't begun fighting in earnest, likely holding out until he knows what his opponent can and can't do.  At the end of this chapter, Kenpachi discovers a potential weakness in his opponent's power, one that might be the deciding factor in the rest of the battle.

I expected something along these lines as a weakness, with imagination being limited by the mind imagining it.  It appears that unless he keeps the visual in his head, the changes don't last.  So he must require an impressive attention span and focus just to fight while using his power.  This might also mean that even people "killed" by his imagination won't stay that way unless he keeps focusing on them, but that might be too much of a stretch to assume it's true.  Still, Kenpachi has his work cut out for him, since this boy can just imagine virtually anything he wants into existence.  But we'll have to see what happens next week to find out what's going to happen.
