Liliana of the Veil

"Liliana of the Veil" is a card from the "Innistrad" set.  This version of Liliana is one that depends on the deck that she is placed in, unlike her previous version were she could basically stand alone and control the game if left unchecked, this version of Liliana relies on combos put together in the deck she is placed in.

(+1) each player discards a card, ok a little twist on her previous ability of just having the opponent discard now you discard as well.  This ability can be very useful in an attempt to have you opponent lose his hand as well as for you to play cards to retrieve what you just discarded out of the graveyard.  (-2) target player sacrifices a creature, this ability can work both ways you can force your opponent to get rid of the only creature he or she has on the battlefield or you can sacrifice one of your own creatures to get a morbid black combo working.  (-6) Separate all permanents target player controls into two piles.  That player sacrifices all permanents in the pile of his or her choice.  A descent final ability that leaves you to decide what cards to place into what piles and can basically destroy your opponents ability to continue the game.  In all a good card but very dependent on combos.

Good:
-A plainswalker that only cost 3 mana to play!!
- (-6) ability is pretty amazing simply for the fact the it includes all of your opponents permanents.
- (-2) has the ability to be flexible and says target player instead of opponent.

Bad:
-This plainswalker relies on the deck she is in and the combos you create, not a stand alone plainswalker.

Scully Rating: 8.5 out of 10
