Grab your fertilizer and gardening shears everyone and
prepare to defend your home against an onslaught of hilariously designed
zombies in the tower defense game “Plants vs. Zombies”. The game puts you in
charge of a homeowner who has to defend himself against various waves of
zombies by planting plants and fungi to repel them and stopping them from
devouring your brain. Each plant comes with its own set of skills that can
attack or defend against the zombies attacking you, as players advance into
higher levels they unlock more powerful
plants that greatly increase your chance of survival. Plants can be
placed any green area on the field in front of you, the field is divided into a
number of horizontal and vertical lanes which zombies travel down and you defend
against by placing plants to defend against them or attack them. Planting gets
a little more challenging in later levels due to the addition of pool lanes
that require a lillie pad in order to plant on, as well as the addition of roof
top levels that require pots of soil to plant on. The game incorporates several
different level types and layouts all with its own set of unique challenges for
you to face whether it be night levels that require you to make your own
sunlight or fog levels where the zombies are unable to be seen for the first
few lanes, as well as other challenges to keep you switching up your strategies
and staying on your toes. Not only do your plants come in various shapes and
sizes but zombies do as well, various levels introduce new zombies that
increase the difficulty for players, some that quite frankly will have you
laughing as some come strolling down lanes with traffic cones for protection. Players
can also enjoy 5 multiplayer modes that can be played either co-operatively or
competitively against your friends; additionally the game offers a few mini
games and a virtual house for players to show off their achievements. “Plants
vs. Zombies” adds a humor element to zombie survival games that hooks players
for hours of enjoyment with the ridiculous zombies and plants as well as a cast
of quirky characters.
“Plants vs. Zombies” is a zombie game unlike any other and
offers a wide variety of enjoyable features and easy to get understand controls
as well as gameplay, the game offers much more content than most tower defense
games with the entertaining story, mini games and the addition of multiplayer
from the originally released PC version of the game. Players will find
themselves hooked on the gameplay with the colorful cast of zombies, plants and
characters while facing level after level of zombie killing goodness.
