The game uses a combo based system for stringing lightsaber attacks together to cause massive damage to your enemies and also allows you to combine lightsaber attacks with various force powers in your arsenal.

"Something something dark side..."

Players are given the ability to use a wide variety of force powers such as force push, lighting manipulation and the saber throw which combined with the right set of saber attacks creates for a devastating effect. Players also gain experience points by killing the various enemies throughout the game as well as finding artifacts which can be used towards increasing your strength with force powers, saber skills and other abilities. Finding the various artifacts throughout levels also provides and added bonus, some artifacts include various saber crystals, saber abilities and various character outfits. Saber crystals can be used to change the color of your lightsaber to whatever bests suits you, saber crystals allow your lightsaber to cause certain affects to your enemies such as taking health away or causing more combination damage and players can also dawn their favorite outfit whether they want to show their light side off or play the role of an evil Sith is all up to you.

“The Force Unleashed”  also offers a wide variety of enemies’ that people may know from the “Star Wars” universe as well as some newly designed enemies for the game, such as imperial stormtroopers, shock troopers, AT-KTs, AT-STs, Jawas and even Wookies. “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed” gives exactly what fans have always wanted, giving players the ability to take up a lightsaber and use the force in any way they see fit all the while taking on a cast of enemies using your tremendous power to take down anything in your way. While the game is highly enjoyable and will be greatly enjoyed by fans, the game doesn’t provide a tremendous lasting appeal do to the hack and slash nature of the game. Even so the game offers a fresh new tale to the “Star Wars” franchise and will bring out your inner Jedi……..or Sith.

Good:

Using the force never loses its appeal

Bad:

Let’s face it if you don’t like “Star Wars” you won’t like the game
