Top 5 Nintendo 64 Games

Sean Dibble

So to start things off, I want to say this is my opinion and I can only list games that I myself have played. Also, I am sticking with one game per franchise so sorry Mario you will not be dominating this list. So with that said, lets get the countdown going.

5. Pokemon Stadium- Ok, so first of it would not be a Nintendo list without a Pokemon game, am I right? This game takes the fifth spot for its greatness ether battling friends in its great multiplayer, or playing through the single player game. Also the ability to link your own pokemon from your Gameboy using a game link just made this game even more spectacular.

4. Starfox 64- "Do a barrel roll!" this sequel to the SNES game was light years ahead of its time both graphically and in its gameplay. One thing this game did great was aerial combat because well THATS all you did. The one thing that can knock this game for is Slippy Toad, you will grow to hate him and his annoying "I got one on my tail save me fox" that is what lowers this game from top contention.

 3. Super Smash Bros- Could you imagine a better party game? All your favorite nintendo characters in one game fighting each other to the death. Graphics are great and gameplay was fast and fun and keeps you entertained for hours even years. As you play through the singleplayer campaign you will unlock new and even better characters and stages. If I still had a N64 and this game well to be honest I would still be rocking with Samus.

2. Goldeneye- This James Bond game that came out one year after the movie was released was the first of its kind. The first FPS to introduce split screen multiplayer and it was addictive the singleplayer campaign was great even though it had one to many escort missions for my liking, but was still fun. The game had many cheat codes that you could use including my two personal favorites paintball mode and fat head (or big head not sure on what it was called) The multiplayer was grand and would easily keep my and my friends entertained as we battled to find out who was the best even to the point of holding Goldeneye tournaments just to prove I was the best >_<

1. Super Mario 64- Was there really any doubt in the matter, everyone who owned a N64 had to own this game. If you did not you were not allowed to call yourself a gamer...whatsoever. The game had it all great missions, great replayability, and GREAT PHYSICS I mean how many other fat plumbers do you know that can do a flip like Mario? none, that's right. Graphically the game was amazing and lets be honest without this game Nintendo probably would have died a long time ago.
