Borro's remains fall from the palace, and begin to rain down on the seretei. However, he still manages to regenerate into numerous birds, and begins to destroy the seretei in his rage over losing to Kyoraku and Ise. However, as his rampage begins, he comes face-to-face with an unexpected soul reaper, and his birds quickly start to die. Back at the palace, Renji and Byakuya seem to be having no problems facing Gerard, "The Miracle," but even as their confidence grows, Gerard smirks. There is no doubt more to this man than simply being big and muscular, but what power does he have that makes him feel a captain and lieutenant aren't a match for him?
