“Jennifer’s Body” is a horror film that is told from a
narrative stand point, Anita “needy” Lesnicki who is in a mental hospital. She
recalls all of what happened in her past in Devils Kettle a small town named
after a waterfall is where this film takes place. Jennifer (Megan Fox) is a
cheerleader for the school who is best friends with Anita as she puts it there
were pretty much sisters. The two decide to go to an indie rock concert that is
being held at the local bar. The band is playing and while they are at the bar
a fire breaks out, Jennifer leaves the inferno with the band in their van. Needy
returns home to find Jessica in her kitchen bloody and with a creepy smile only
a mother could love. Without saying a word she vomits up black sludge and then
asks needy if she is scared. All seems fine though the next day when Jennifer
is back to normal…somewhat no one knows that she is possessed by a man eating
succubus and that more deaths are soon to come.
This horror film is a mediocre film that cannot even
classify itself as a horror film with very little scary scenes if any at all,
and the most predictable plot on the planet. The only scene that will get
anyone’s attention is the lesbian scene between Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried.
In all “Jennifer’s Body” is a film with a plot that is so predictable it is sad
a cast that can’t act themselves out of a paper bag. That is except for the
lone actress that did any good Amanda Seyfried is the only redeeming person or
thing in this movie.
Good:
-Amanda Seyfried is a great actress that is great in her
role as the nerd
-Lesbian scene between Megan and Amanda
Bad:
-Predictable plot
-Actors and Actresses that can’t act
-Megan Fox thinking she can get by on just her looks and
FAILS miserably
-Horror film that isn’t scary one bit
