Grab your gear and mount up for the latest installment to
the “Call of Duty” universe “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3”, the latest first
person shooter picks up right where we all left of in “Modern Warfare 2” and
jumps right back into the action. Like its predecessors “Modern Warfare 3”
comes with a fully stocked single player campaign with 16 missions each divided
into 3 Acts that you must shoot your way through, each also coming with its own
diverse objects where you could be doing anything from flying a spy drone or
anti-tank robot. The story while being a continuation of “Modern Warfare 2” can
easily be picked up by anyway who enjoys a great shooting game while providing
fans to the franchise a compelling new chapter to the “Call of Duty” world.
“Modern Warfare 3” also brings something new to the franchise with the addition
of a new “Survival Mode” where one or two fighting endless waves of enemies
seeing how long they can survive before being taken out as each waves
continually gets harder and harder. As you kill enemies along the way you earn
money from each kill which can be put towards buying better weapons and
attachments as well as air/ground support and equipment. While this bears a
resemblance to zombie mode from “Call of Duty: World at War” this new survival
challenge offers more of a challenge for players as enemies do not spawn from
predetermined points but are tactically placed in respects to where players are
located offering much more of a challenge. Spec Ops also makes a return this
time around, a challenge system where players complete mission objectives and
earn stars based on their performance 3 stars being the highest you can
receive. And finally what would “Call of Duty” be without multiplayer; players
can once again take on people from all over the world in various game modes
such as capture the flag, search and destroy and the classic team deathmatch.
This time around the kill streak system, where players earn rewards to help
them take down enemies, has been completely revamped with all new kill streaks
dependent on their individual chosen “strike packages” that include assault,
support and specialist. “Modern Warfare 3” provides what every fan of the
series has come to expect and will have those who haven’t known anything about
the game hooked with all the game has to offer.
“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” makes for an incredible
first person shooter and while the main campaign has it short comings being yet
another “Modern Warfare” game to come out, people will still enjoy the incredible
action and various experiences each mission has to offer. The entirely
redesigned multiplayer system offers a highly enjoyable experience that’ll have
you trying all the new kill streaks and customizable weapons/equipment. The
multiplayer creates a lasting appeal for gamers and fans alike and will have
you playing for hours, least till the next “Call of Duty”.
Good:
-Totally redesigned multiplayer, that is both enjoyable and
highly addictive
-Spec Ops and the new Survival Mode makes for great fun with
friends or by yourself
Bad:
-Story has its short comings, as though you’ve seen and done
this all before in other “Modern Warfare’s”
