“Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan” is the eighth movie made
for the Dragon Ball Z universe. This DBZ film is set sometime during the Cell
Saga. This movie brings back a custom soundtrack that was not in the anime
itself. It is also the longest DBZ movie made, clocking in at seventy-three
minutes long. The movie moves along a little slow at first but once the action
picks up the speed picks up. The flashbacks in the movie are a nice touch
because without it, we wouldn’t understand why Paragus is able to control
Broly, why Broly hates Goku, and how Paragus and Broly survived when we thought
that Goku and Vegeta were the only pure blooded Saiyans left. The movie made
Vegeta look weak when it came to fighting. With him giving up and not even
wanting to fight the legend once he found out that he was no match. This is not
the Vegeta we know, has too much pride not to fight. The plot to this movie is
the same in some parts as the other films, but was good putting Saiyan on Saiyan
something they have not done since “Tree of Might” but did so much better in
this film. In all “Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan” is a must own for any DBZ
fan with its great soundtrack from bands like Pointy Shoe Factory, Pantera, and
Gravity Pool. It also has a great fight scene between the two strongest Saiyans
ever: Broly and Goku. So go out and rent, borrow or buy because this is one of
the top 4 of DBZ movies and is a must watch.
Good:
-Fight Scene between Goku and Broly
-Decent Plot
-Great Music
Bad:
-Little slow in the beginning
-Vegeta not acting like himself being a complete baby and
refusing to fight
