Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (Part 1)

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion is a 25 episode anime that takes place in an alternative universe were Britannia has conquered a large portion of the world including Japan.  After the conquest Japan was renamed area 11 and the Japanese people were then named elevens.  The main character Lelouch is a former Britannia prince who goes to school in Japan and one day gets caught up in a fight between eleven terrorist forces and the Britannian Empire.  With the a grudge against his father and the Emperor of Britannia for the death of his mother and crippling of his sister, Lelouch uses a power to control peoples minds called Geass and wages war against the empire of Britannia.

Code Geass is a heart stopping high intensity action packed anime that will keep the viewer completely stunned at the end of almost ever episode.  It is a short anime but each episode is rich in detail pertaining to the story line and is always relevant to the plot.  The story line is spontaneous and completely unpredictable but I a way viewers will love.  Lelouch's quest to find his mothers killers, to destroy Britannia, and to protect his sister drives Lelouch down a path that is stained with blood.  This anime is also one that can be heart wrenching at time, the story touches on the subjects of colonial control by Britannia over Japan and also in some episodes the genocide of the Japanese people.  This anime's character personalities are completely unique for each character and help to emphasis the different sides people take in the story.  Not to mention an ending that will leave you begging for more....good thing their is a Part 2 with 25 more episode!!!  

Good:

-Powerful storyline that is unpredictable

-Well thought out character personalities that all contribute to the feeling the show gives the viewer

-Lots of great action scenes

-Heart wrenching drama 

Bad:

-.....In all honesty I haven't found a single bad thing about this series
