Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13

Review by Sean Dibble
Goku and Chi-Chi are out shopping around town. Suddenly something has gone wrong in the city, two of Dr. Gero’s creations have come to destroy Goku. Fearing the destruction of the cities and the deaths of its citizens Goku and Trunks lead these killer androids to a frozen wasteland. As the fight begins another android appears, seemingly more dangerous Goku and Trunks will need all the help they can get to defeat this new threat.

“Super Android 13” is the seventh movie in the Dragon Ball Z series. The movie is set sometime after Dr. Gero’s death and sometime before the Cell Games.  “Super Android 13” is the first movie to show Future Trunks, and the first time we get to enjoy the sight of three Super Saiyans at the same time on screen. “Super Android 13” does something that DBZ films have not done yet, providing a lot of action from start to finish. And with the movie being only forty-seven minutes long you get a good thirty of it packed with DBZ style fighting. The plot is the same as all DBZ movies have been, Earth is in trouble from some evil person/persons and Goku and the gang must save it, which gets a little old after a while. Music wise there is very little to be heard and what you do hear is music from the show. The characters we all know and love are in this film including future Trunks. One of the best things about “Super Android 13” is at the end when Piccolo and Vegeta are sitting on a sheet of ice and talking. One thing that I found odd is how Goku fights toward the end.  All in all, “Super Android 13” will become one of your favorite DBZ movies of all time with the action top notch and with good comedy any DBZ fan and even ones who have never seen the show can enjoy.

Good:
-ACTION ACTION ACTION
-Last scene will have you laughing
-Fast paced
-What Goku does with the Spirit Bomb is just amazing

Bad:
-Unoriginal plot
