In the News: Bloody Palace out for DMC, Vergil's Downfall finally set for March 6th

Article By: Zach Goodier

If you're like me, you've been irritated by the ever-shifting release date for Vergil's Downfall.  However, your worries are over, for it has been firmly set for release this week, on March 6th.  In the meantime, if you feel like it, there is a free DLC package to help you warm up: Bloody Palace.

...

Bloody Palace was in DMC 3 and 4, but it was conspicuously missing from the reboot... until now.  However, there are some differences; you no collect red orbs, so you can't play Bloody Palace and use orbs to buy items in you story missions.  Also, the change in environment after each set of levels you beat are all inspired by the story missions.  This means that you can fight in Lilith's club again, as well as Bob Barker's prison.  This isn't the biggest deal, but it kept things interesting.  While we could do an entire review page for this expansion, it really is just something most of you are familiar with, so let's just say it's more of what you know.  The only issue I had was the imposed time limits.  While I like that it keeps you on your toes, and awards you with bonus time for stylish performance, it does prevent you from taking your time and enjoying things to a certain extent.  It all depends on your preferred cup of tea, I suppose.  However, you can expect an extensive review for Vergil's Downfall after I download it and give it a solid run through.
